Hello, my name is Ian Coberly!

I am a Mechanical Engineer with a Bachelors of Science from the Colorado School of Mines in Golden Colorado.

Currently, I am a Senior Associate Mechanical Engineer at Acushnet Company in New Bedford, MA. I work in developmental group called Advanced Engineering that develops new technologies and processes for golf ball manufacturing. This group has given me the ability to utilize my creativity to lead to 2 new patents for golf ball technology currently being filed.

In my free time, I am a top rated freelancer on UpWork specializing in Mechanical Product Design. My projects have ranged from simple 3D printed parts to injection molded assemblies for consumer products. Working as a freelancer helps me expand my engineering network as well as grow my knowledge of mechanical design of a wide range of products. I believe that being able to work in a wide variety of industries, whether it be through projects on UpWork or past internships, will make me a well rounded engineer that is able to call on my past experiences to be successful in future projects.
